--Cowboys 1st in offense pass. Redskins defense is 23rd vs pass, 32nd overall.

--It will be raining tonight. Portis will put the ball on the ground. Redskinks had 7 turnovers last week. Portis already lost 2 this year. Dallas D 7th vs. the run. Redskin's without Lavar Arrington and P. Daniels.

--This is not Joe Gibb's team. This is Spurriers team. Gibbs is building a team. Parcells time is now.

--Parcells since '93 on MNF is 5-1

--Dallas 5-1 last 6 meetings vs Redskins

--Dallas has covered the spread the last 9 of 11 when getting points in a division game. They're also 12-4 vs the spread in 1st road division game.

--Redskins is 6-16 MNF dating back to 1987. (Gibbs has been out of coaching for 12 years.)

How bad is the weather supposed to get? If it is like the Miami game I'm staying clear.

Dallas is 18-7 (ATS and SU) vs Washington, but I'm pretty sure they are 0-0 when playing Washington in a tropical storm/hurricane.

how about the pass in a tropical storm?
Rain favors the offense moreso than defense in the passing game. The receivers know where they're going, the defense does not. That loss of a split second due to poor field conditions means open receivers.
It goes against the offense when running the ball. Runners can't make their cuts, the ball is slippery. The defensive guy runs straight toward the target.

Agree with some of your points, but wrt to the passing game it is also more difficult to throw accurately as well as the ball gets wet regardless of how often they dry it, switch it, etc.....

didnt help miami/pitt last night throw the ball at all
And that's Miami and Pitt for you. I'd say they're not quite as good as the #1 rated pass offense. I'm not saying they'll throw all over the field tonight. But, in a tight situation, you're passing offense will have a big advantage on a sloppy field, especially now that we have the "chuck" rule.

DT, like the call.

You can throw conventional wisdom out the window when these two teams meet.
Weather could become an issue, but the local guys are saying that if it get's bad (heavy rain), it won't be until late tonight into tomorrow. It will NOT be like the Pitt/Miami game last night.. that was silly.

Dallas solid on D, should be plenty of turnover opps. once again. Remember both these teams AND coaches hate each other. :heh:

After last week you can expcet Gibbs to go into his shell.. running the ball on first and second down and then move the pocket on third with a safe pass. I don't think the skins have the QB or WR's to display the vertical game against Dallas. Expect Roy Williams to have a big night against Portis. I can see him playing most of the snaps at the line of scrimmage.

Not a big fan of the Dallas O either. Watched part of the Clev/Dal game last week and nearly pissed my pants :toothless! It was free comedy out on the field. 6 interceptions in less than a quarter of play is a joke.

Dallas should give E George plenty of opps. tonight vs a skins D that is always terrible against the run and without Arrington tonight could get embarassing. If Vinny gets the time he will do some damage thorught the air. Glenn, Keyshawn, and Bryant are all talented and will be able to get open.

I'll take the cow'pokes to steal this one on Monday night on the road. Gotta love the home dog in the NFL.. but.. not tonight.
